There are many facilities to take skiers up to the Tavola Rotonda (at 2,043 metres the highest ski station in the Apennines), which is the starting point for ski runs of all lengths and difficulties, for both seasoned skiers and those less experienced. There is a slalom run where competitive skiers can practice on courses marked out by instructors at the local Italian national ski school, which also gives instruction in the basics of skiing on its ski courses.
Campo di Giove is ideal for families and for those trying winter sports for the first time. It also offers high-grade after-ski services (bars, pubs and clubs) and, of course, authentic Abruzzan cuisine, which one can savour in the comfortable surroundings of the traditional local restaurants.
